Lifestyle: Why You Should Take Your Money Seriously

So for those of you that do not know, I work in Baltimore City. Yes, THE Baltimore City. If you don’t understand, let me explain. Baltimore City had riots a few years ago due to some deep seeded feelings the community had. This caused a lot of businesses to pick up and leave, causing a semi-depressed community. Some of these businesses had no choice to leave, as they could not afford to stay after having their shops vandalized and their items stolen.

Why is this relevant to money? Well, you never know what will happen. Something horrible could happen to you, and then what? Are you prepared? If not, I ask that you please start taking your finances seriously. Treat each penny like it is your last. Now, I am not saying stress out about it constantly, but do think differently about it. What would happen if it was not there tomorrow? What would you do?

Consider these questions, and evaluate yourself so that you can use your money to the best of your ability. Something else to think about, is what do you want to do with your life? Do you want to buy a house? Have a child? Fill in the blank here? Saving anything towards these goals is an incredibly smart move. I highly recommend it, and you will thank yourself that you did.
